The STCWEB Traffic Supervision and Control system allows users to:

  • Easily and quickly manage the entire network of controllers via a web interface
  • Access a multi-user, multilingual graphical interface
  • Remotely control traffic controllers
  • Maintain synchronization between consecutive intersections (green wave)
  • View animated, interactive maps of intersections, real-time statistics, and monitor the status of traffic control units: lights, sensors, plans, stages, and more
  • Receive automatic alerts when a system enters an alarm or fault condition (email, SMS, etc.)
  • Collect traffic data for each intersection and generate historical archives
  • Program traffic controllers remotely (upload and download configuration data, logs, and traffic data)

SYSTEM FUNCTIONS

The system enables the following main functions:

  • Remote monitoring and control of the entire traffic light controller network
  • Remote configuration and programming of traffic controllers
  • Exploration of the controller network via interactive maps
  • Selection of plans based on calendar and traffic algorithm
  • Web-based visualization of traffic light diagrams
  • User-friendly interface for operators
  • High level of integration with other tools
  • Real-time monitoring of the complete status of each intersection
  • SMS and/or email alarm notifications
  • Traffic data collection and creation of historical archives
  • Download of operation logs and controller diagnostics
  • Creation and export of reports in PDF format
  • Download/upload files to and from traffic controllers (logs, statistics, configuration, etc.)

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE

Traffic controllers and clients must be able to communicate with the Central Server. They should either be on the same subnet as the Central Server or have an Internet connection.
