SMC is a traffic controller designed for wireless, off-grid management of alternating one-way streets. It is also ideal for small intersections, work vehicle exits, mountain roads, construction sites, and similar situations. It is designed to provide maximum flexibility and ease of use, meeting even the most specific requirements of demanding clients.

GENERAL FEATURES

  • Management of a local traffic signal group, with the possibility of controlling a remote group via radio or cellular network (on another SMC device)
  • Multilingual menu
  • Night-time dimming for traffic light outputs
  • Equipped with solar-powered battery or UPS
  • Supplied in an IP55 cabinet (316x936x160mm), 230V version
  • Expandable via Arduino Shield connector
  • Optional 4G router for device communication, sending remote commands, and sending status/fault SMS
  • Programmable for timed operations or based on external events
  • Can interface with pedestrian buttons, radio receivers, and vehicle radar as triggers
  • GPS for unlimited synchronization between 2 autonomous, isolated devices
  • Optional radio module for communication up to 500 meters between 2 or more devices
  • 2 digital inputs and 2 digital outputs allow communication with external equipment
  • Lamp monitoring system to detect faulty signals

OPERATING MODES

Isolated mode : Used on alternating one-way streets where the two groups do not communicate. Once activated together, a high-precision GPS ensures long-term synchronization between the two controllers. If restarted, synchronization is automatically restored.
Radio mode : Communication between 2/3/4 groups via radio module (2.4 GHz) to manage input events from radar, buttons, or remote controls in a master-slave configuration.

Continuous communication allows remote monitoring of all connected devices. In case of an issue (e.g., burned-out LED, low voltage, lamp incorrectly on), all devices enter flashing mode.
