Pedestrian Request Button

The DNV2000 is a capacitive-activation pedestrian push button designed for installation at signalized pedestrian crossings.
It operates in combination with the DNV2000 acoustic device to allow crossing requests from both sighted pedestrians and visually impaired individuals, in full compliance with the regulations established by the Highway Code.

General Features

Request by Sighted Pedestrians
When a sighted pedestrian presses the button, the device sends a request to the traffic controller, which:

  • Inserts the pedestrian phase into the traffic light cycle;
  • Sends feedback to the device, activating a green LED indicator confirming that the request has been successfully registered.

Request by Visually Impaired Pedestrians

When the request is made using the dedicated button for the visually impaired, the signal is
transmitted to:

  • The DNV2000 acoustic device mounted on the same pole, which:
    – Stores the call;
    – Sends an “accepted request” signal to the request device to activate an acoustic signal (in compliance with paragraph 4.2 of standard CEI 214-7);
  • The request device installed on the opposite pole, which sends the request to its corresponding acoustic device;
  • The traffic controller, which manages the call as a standard pedestrian request.
