- Up to 64 loop vehicle detectors
- Up to 128 digital inputs
- Up to 144 digital outputs
- Up to 20 relay outputs
- 32 traffic signal plans selectable remotely or locally based on calendar and external events
DIAGNOSTICS
Vega is equipped with a range of diagnostic tools designed to provide useful maintenance information, including:
- Type of fault
- Faulty board
- Loop detector failure
- Input failure
- Burned-out traffic light lamp/module
- Power supply restart or instability
- Voltage too low or too high
The controller’s diagnostic service allows access to internal variables to examine malfunctions in detail. Support tools include display visualization, log file archiving, and automatic message forwarding to assist in fault detection and troubleshooting.
SAFETY
Vega is equipped with a series of control circuits based on both hardware and software redundancy.
The safety system consists of multiple sensors, processors, and circuits, including:
- Voltage measurement sensors on traffic light outputs, with redundant reading on the green light output
- Current measurement sensors on each traffic light output circuit
- Temperature monitoring of key electronic circuits
- Independent processor for controlling green and red light conflicts
- Independent processor on each output control board that performs:
o Verification of consistency between logical commands and the actual state of traffic light outputs
o Monitoring of current on each output to ensure correct lamp operation - Hardware and software Watchdog controls on processors and microcontrollers
- CPU board safety checks, including data consistency verification of memory contents.
