LOOP VEHICLE DETECTOR A1100

The traffic detectors of A1100 series are dedicated to vehicles detection by inductive loop within traffic control in order to “call” secondary phases and to “extend” green times; for vehicle traffic data collection, counting, vehicles speed and length measurements; in the automatic opening and closing of doors, barriers and shutters; in parking lots to determine the availability of vacant spaces; for safety purposes for reporting queues, crashes, accidents ..; and also as a prevention to indicate to car drivers a speed excess near turnovers or dangerous routes.

GENERAL FEATURES

SCAE vehicle detectors have the following characteristics: high immunity to interference; use microprocessors; rapid self-calibration; selection of two frequency ranges; “Fail – Safe” outputs type; seven levels of sensitivity; selection of presence – pulse outputs; normal or directional detection. They use microprocessor technology to detect vehicles through a loop buried in the road surface and connected to the detector by a bipolar cable. Available models:
Detector A1102B (Box Version)
Detector A1104S (Card Version)
Detector G416 (Card Version)
The A1102 detector is two-channel and therefore contains two separate detectors in a single box; while the A1104 detector is four-channel and therefore contains four distinct detectors on a single card. The 416G detector has the capacity to manage 4 independent channels, which can also be configured to work in pairs both as detectors for measuring vehicle speed, and for performing directional detection. Each channel can manage multiple loops placed in parallel and / or in series, as long as the allowable inductance value is not exceeded. The out of range condition is automatically signaled by flashing of the vehicle detection indication light signal. SCAE detectors are self-calibrating, therefore they calibrate themselves when powered. It is possible in any case to carry out a new calibration by pressing the “Reset” button on the front of the device. The detection of a vehicle is signalled by an indicator light, which in the event of a loop failure, interruption or short circuit, flashes permanently. The detection of the vehicle can be by presence or impulse independently for each channel, positioning the relative switch on the “Pres.” Or “Pulse” position. In presence mode you will have an output signal with a duration time equal to the permanence time on the loop up to maximum 15 minutes, after which the present vehicle will be forgotten reactivating the normal operation with detection of the vehicles passed on the part of the loop left free. In impulse operation the loop reactivation is immediate. The detection sensitivity level can be set between a min. and a max. within seven ranges, using the three “SENS” switches located on the front. The A1102 and A1104 detectors can also operate in directional mode by a hardware factory setting.
