SMC FLOOD ALERT

SCAE has developed a web-based ecosystem of products for a complete ITS solution.
Through any device with internet connection (computers, smartphones, tablets) it is possible to have a complete remote management of all traffc signal intersections and an easy collection of data related to urban mobility.
In addition to the ability to use proprietary servers, SCAE solution also offers a full Cloud service for hosting all its ITS solutions.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The system consists of SCAE SMC board equipped with a GSM GPRS module, a two-level flood sensor (pre-alarm and alarm threshold), two traffic lights, two variable message panels (optional) and a pump to empty the water in different environment (optional).
The state of emergency is signaled by the red light, by a proper message written on a variable message panel and by a remote message to the control panel.

The SMC FLOOD ALERT system is also designed to be powered by photovoltaic panels and a battery.

FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Display for status signalling and change of settings.
  • The information is sent on a GSM network (through SIM) via SMS or data network in order to communicate the status to a phone number / PC / operations center / variable message sign.
  • Possibility of requesting the status of the equipment remotely and forcing its status (eg sending flashing Red or Yellow).
  • Driving a traffic light group (green-yellow-red), up to 5 traffic lights that can be piloted in parallel.
  • The messages sent can be customized and it is possible to activate the pre-alarm status to alert the water level rise, typically by activating the flashing yellow light on the traffic light.
  • When the water reaches the Alarm threshold, the Red is activated on the traffic light and the status is communicated to the remote control unit.
  • The device has the control of correct operation of the traffic light outputs, in case of failure (eg burnt lamp) the message is forwarded to the control room and the flashing yellow is activated (if set).
  • Possibility to remotely activate emptying pump or when the set level is reached.
  • Possibility of connecting accessory devices via RS485 / RS232 serial ports and configuring the operations to be performed.
  • Possibility of power supply by photovoltaic panel
