TOUCH BUTTON DNV TWEETY

The DNV Tweety Touch button is suitable to be installed in signalized pedestrian crossings to signal the go-ahead for pedestrians and blind people according to the provisions of the Road Code. The request device is aimed at two types of users: normal pedestrians and the blind. The request made by normal pedestrians is signaled to the traffic light controller so that the same provides both to fulfill it, introducing in the semaphoric cycle the interested phase, and to send a feedback signal that the device uses to activate a light signal of accepted request.

GENERAL FEATURES

The device offers two types of request for pedestrian use:

The first command is represented by a touch sensor, that is a touch command without the typical mechanical pressure of a traditional button, positioned on the front of the box to serve the normal pedestrian.
The second command by means of a switch in a semi-concealed position, the lower part of the box to avoid unnecessary activations as much as possible but to the knowledge of the visually impaired people, identified through a touch-sensitive surface with the addition of a directional indicator and positioning of the person at the point of passage.

The box is totally in polycarbonate material with a IP55 minimum degree of protection, of adequate and robust thickness resistant to normal acts of vandalism. The control of all functionalities is entrusted to a microcontroller of adequate capacity that processes and controls the several peripheral elements: it stores the request, displays the status of the reservation associated with key vibration and / or sound emission, displays traffic light status during the cycle through the backlit multicolor graphic display and emitting an acoustic signal, if appropriately booked, alternatively emits a voice message.
